This privacy statement applies to your visit to and use of our website (www.ganterieboon.com) as well as to all forms of communication or cooperation between Ganterie Boon and its customers, suppliers, and partners – both current and future.

We process your personal data exclusively with a clear purpose: to serve you as a customer or visitor in the best possible way. We do this for:

  • Processing orders and deliveries, and providing after-sales service

  • Marketing purposes, such as informing you about promotions, news, or new collections you have previously shown interest in — via newsletter, e-mail, post, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, … (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Personalized advertising via platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads, based on your browsing behavior on our website. This happens only if you have given prior consent via our cookie banner. We never profile you in a way that has legal consequences or significantly affects you.
  • Improving your experience on our website and optimizing our services

The exact data we collect depends on how you interact with us – online via our webshop or contact form, or physically in our store. Do we share your data?

Your personal data is not sold or passed on to third parties, except to our IT, payment, and logistics partners (only when necessary for delivery or service), with Meta in the context of our Facebook & Instagram shops and when we are legally obliged to do so (e.g., tax audits). We always share data in line with this privacy statement.

Your data may be shared with:

  • The data controller (that’s us, Ganterie Boon)
  • Yourself, for example when you request a copy of your data
  • Our external service providers, such as:
    • Logistics partners such as Bpost or other carriers, for delivering your order
  • IT partners, marketing agencies, or payment processors, when necessary for the proper functioning of our webshop and services
    • Lightspeed: Our cash register / webshop runs on the Lightspeed (eCom) platform. Lightspeed acts as a technical service provider (IT) and processes data such as order and payment information on our behalf.   • We make clear agreements with all our partners. They may only use your data for the purpose for which it was provided, and they are obliged to handle it carefully.
  • Sharing data with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising purposes

When you visit our webshop or interact with our Facebook or Instagram shops, Ganterie Boon may – only when you have provided consent via our cookie banner or when interacting with Meta’s shop features – share certain data with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. This enables us to show you more relevant ads or products and ensures the proper functioning of our shop experiences on these platforms.

  • The data that may be shared includes:
    • Information about your visit to our website (e.g. viewed products or actions taken), collected through marketing cookies or pixels
    • Technical information such as IP address or device settings
    • Hashed customer data (such as e-mail address or phone number) when you consent to personalised advertising
    • Data you provide yourself when making a purchase through the Facebook or Instagram shopData is shared with Meta only:

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary to serve you properly.

Sometimes we are legally obliged to retain data longer (e.g., accounting or tax obligations), or you allow us to keep it longer (e.g., newsletter subscription). In such cases, we comply with applicable rules and time limits. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Interaction with Social Networks

On some pages, you can share content via social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Instagram. When you do so, these platforms may collect data via cookies or similar technologies. For more information, please consult their privacy policies.
